Hundreds of flights delayed at Denver airport ahead of New Year’s Eve
Hundreds of flights headed in and out of Denver International Airport on Monday failed to leave the gate on time as the busy holiday travel season continued nationwide. Over 300 flights were delayed at Denver International Airport (DIA) on Monday, with nearly 300 scheduled for departure and ten cancelled. No federal ground delays were in effect at the time. Nearly half of the delayed flights were scheduled to leave DIA and half were headed into the city. The day before, nearly 900 flights were also delayed due to 2.2 inches of snowfall.
