ESPN questions Bo Nix’s long-term viability with Broncos
Bo Nix will be eligible to have his fifth-year option picked up in 2027. If he wants a multi-year extension, the QB's play will have to improve: Denver Broncos quarterback Bo Nix is facing questions about his long-term viability with the team, according to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler. Nix will be eligible for a fifth-year option for the 2028 season as he enters the final year of his rookie contract. Despite acknowledging offensive struggles out of Nix's control, Fowler concluded that Nix doesn't appear to be the runner he once was and his viability with Denver depends on how he performs in the next 11 or so games. NIX will be able to have his fifth-season option exercised in January. If the Broncos choose to extend Nix, it will be a significant topic for consideration.
