Free Halloween and Día de los Muertos events, plus more things to do in Denver
Opera Colorado’s “Macbeth” and parties for the second edition of the landmark “Denvoid” book are also on tap. The Thornton area is known for its Día de los Muertos celebrations, particularly in Thornton, where a free event honors the Mexican tradition of remembering loved ones who have passed with art, music, dance, food, and cultural traditions. The Boo and Brew Colfax Halloween Block Party will be held on East Colfax Avenue’s Bluebird District, marking a 20th event and a return to normalcy for the corridor after years of BRT headaches. Opera Colorado will perform "Macbeth" for the first time at the Ellie Caulkins Opera House in Denver, with conductor Patrick Summers making his Opera Colorado debut. The event will also feature a dog parade in front of the Bluebird Theater at 2:30 p.m.
