Nikola Jokić says Nuggets fans who booed in OT win over Pelicans are ‘not welcome anymore’
‘We get booed in the first home game. I think those fans who booed us, they don’t need to come anymore,’ Nikola Jokić said. Nikola Jokić, a member of the Denver Nuggets, has stated that the fans who booed their team in their first home game are no longer welcome anymore. The team had been trailing 73-57 to the New Orleans Pelicans at halftime, leading to a 23-point comeback and a 141-135 win over them in overtime. The boos began at the start of the second quarter after the Nuggets fell behind 45-26, but eventually turned into cheers as the team came back from a nearly 20-point deficit in the final period. After the game, David Adelman and Aaron Gordon said the team needed to stop opening games like they did, or they would fall to contenders.
