DENVER (KDVR) — A motorcyclist was killed in a Fort Collins crash on Wednesday.
At around 7:26 p.m., Fort Collins 911 was called about a crash involving a single motorcycle in the 1000 block of East Drake Road. When officers arrived, they located an adult man suffering from life-threatening injuries.
According to investigators, the motorcyclist was riding a 2007 Yamaha westbound in the 1000 block of East Drake Road when he allegedly struck a fence on the north side of the road. Investigators did not say what factors may have led to the crash.
Police said they attempted life-saving measures, but the man was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Now, the Fort Collins Police Collision Reconstruction and Scene Handling Team will handle the investigation.
East Drake Road was closed between Lemay Avenue and Stover Street for four hours.
