3 Things We Need to See From the Nuggets to Beat the Pelicans
The Denver Nuggets need to bounce back to beat the New Orleans Pelicans. The Denver Nuggets lost their season opener against the Oklahoma City Thunder, leading to a 16-point deficit in the second half. The team now faces the New Orleans Pelicans, where they have a chance to earn their first win of the season. The Nuggets' performance was disappointing, with only 84 points scored in the first game, their lowest mark in a game since January 2024. The Pelicans have allowed 120+ points in each of their first two games, so the Nuggets should be able to exploit this advantage. In order for a win, the Nuggets need to show their high-powered offense, which they had the league's top offense last season. Key players include Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray, who struggled to make an impact in the season opener, and Bryce Hopkins and Cam Whitmore. The game will be played without Cameron Johnson, Spencer Jones, and Julian Strawther, with Alpha Diallo listed as questionable.
